Oso Adventure Meals
Oso Adventure Meals is a brand of culturally diverse food and beverage products for the everyday adventurer. We specialize in culturally relevant, nutritious, healthy, energy-packed, and tasty products for campers, backpackers, and all outdoor adventurers
Felipe Vieyra is currently the Lyra Denver Director. In this role, he supports the important work that innovation zones are doing in implementing a community values-driven education that empowers students, parents, teachers, school leaders, and the community to co-create the educational experience that children need to be successful.
By building advocacy, community organizing, and community partnerships, his work is intrinsically tied to empowering those closest to the classroom. Felipe cares deeply about education, being the first of his family to graduate high school and college. He started lifting up his voice regarding educational inequity because of being an immigrant, man of color in school systems that were never meant for either identities.
Felipe is active in the Denver community by being involved with various different boards and commissions. He is currently the co-chair of the Young Latino Philanthropist, the secretary of Colorado Peoples Alliance C3 board and the Padres y Jovenes Unidos Action Fund board. He also coaches competitive soccer with Club C&C and loves volunteering his time to issues that he cares about.
We believe through Oso Meals, we can help make the mountains more accessible through four innovative ways:
- Invest in community organizations exposing BIPOC communities to the outdoors.
- Hire BIPOC communities to work for Oso Meals and partnered organizations.
- Create a fund/grant for small BIPOC-founded companies focused on the outdoor/food world.
- Improving the food and outdoor culture by changing how we do inventory, pricing, and marketing.
