WildCrest Apparel
WildCrest is an outdoor apparel brand for people who are pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding. We are creating technical performance apparel to help people get outside through all the seasons of their changing bodies. Our first products will be dropping next year (2023): the EverCrest Jackets will include an insulated puffer and a waterproof shell. The EverCrest Jackets are thoughtfully designed to be adaptable to three seasons and the pregnancy and postpartum periods.
Julie Hartnack is the founder of WildCrest, a new outdoor apparel brand for pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding. She has always loved hiking and spending time outdoors, and when she got pregnant with her son Ryan, she was surprised to find that there was no such thing as outdoor maternity apparel. She decided to make it herself to help others like her get outside and back to the adventures they love during every phase of their lives.
We have plans to launch JEDI programs in the future, once we launch our first products. Our current plans are to have rotating nonprofits to which we will donate a percentage of our profits from each purchase. We plan to feature environmental- and justice-related causes, especially where they intersect with maternal and child health.
Pregnancy is one of the most gendered experiences a person can go through. We are mindful of using inclusive language to ensure that any pregnant, postpartum, or breast/chestfeeding person will feel comfortable in our apparel and with our brand identify.
We hope to be able to expand to offer even more sizes in the future but will launch with XS-XXL.
