RunMItts, LLC was founded in 2016 as an answer to our founders need to find mittens or gloves that keep her hands warm when training in cold weather. RunMitts, LLC is one of only 2 Black Owned Outdoor Gear companies into e US, according to Outdoor Retail Magazine. The company has had a steady growth and is now sold in a major retailer for their fall/ winter season.
Susan Clayton is the founder/ inventor of WhitePaws RunMitts, a patented mitten designed for runners, walkers and outdoor enthusiast. As an avid runner, Susan couldn't find mittens or gloves that kept her fingers and thumbs warm when training in cold weather, so she invented one. Susan has also co-owned a hair salon in Downtown Baltimore for over 26 years which gave her the confidence to start a second company.
At RunMitts, LLC, we use small US bases manufacturer that hire and pay ethically, We donate mittens for different run groups. By producing in the US, we create and keep needle trade jobs on shore.
At RunMItts, LLC, we use and source recycled fabrics. Our retail packaging and shipping materials are made with paper so that it can be recycled. By manufacturing in the US, we work on reducing our carbon footprint.
